If you hold a cat by the tail you learn things you cannot learn any other way.-Mark Twain

I went to brush my teeth and found Fiona sitting on the edge of the tub hugging Vladi around the neck. He seemed okay with it and was actually purring. I'm quite proud of how patient he is with her.

Me: I'm amazed that cat's never scratched you.

Fiona: Like Nolady

Me: Nolady?

Fiona: Yeah, Nolady bit me.

Me: Who's Nolady?

Fiona: Grandmas kitty.

Me: Oooooh.

My Mom also has a black cat who's named Shelby but it would appear that Fiona thinks her name is Not Vladi.

Well, any cat that scratches is No Lady in my book, too. ;-)

It's true she's a nasty cat but what are my folks suposed to do put her down? I'm just glad Fiona knows it's not Vladi that hurt her.

I was trying to be funny with the way it looked like Fiona pronounced Vladi.
Sorry. Didn't mean anything by it.

Oh no I wasn't offended. Their cat really is a mean little thing and they've honestly had that conversation. Sorry I didn't mean to make YOU feel bad either.
