The mother-daughter relationship is the most complex.-Wynonna Judd
We were sitting at the table having lunch when I looked over at Fiona. Her face had jelly stains and her hair was all crazy because I hadn't brushed it yet as we weren't going any where and I was feeling lazy. I found myself in one of those moments so annoying to children and dear to mothers when we suddenly realise how much we love our jobs. I looked at Fiona smiled wistfully and said, "You're beautiful." She looked back at me for a second nodded once matter of factly and returned her attention to her PB&J.
