Consciousness: that annoying time between naps.-Author Unknown

Fiona rarely naps any more but when she does I usually have to go wake her up. She does not like this. Weirdly I love this about her. She looks like Dave in miniature and used to also have his sunny demeanor when she woke. I had to resist the urge to strangle them both as I am NOT a morning person.

No seriously NOT A MORNING PERSON. I once told my little brother to go to hell for wishing me good morning and that was after I was up and dressed and in the kitchen looking for something to treat as breakfast. I was even less pleasant to my Mom when she would come in and wake me up (to be fair she trained the dog to jump on me to wake me up so she may have deserved a little verbal abuse).

I'm less volatile in the mornings since I grew up a bit and began using coffee liberally.

So when I go in to Fiona's room and she screams, "NOOOOOOO GO AWAY!" I smile and think, "Awww she got that from me."

She'll thank you one day when she's drooped over her Starbucks cup waiting for the caffeine to kick in.

It's true. Of all the things to have inherited from me my sleep issues aren't what I'd have picked for her.

I suppose there's still a chance she'll get my curves when she's older.
