When we went to Paris we did not find the stereotypes to be true at all. The people we met there were charming and kind. They were patient with our attempts to communicate and often excited to tell us about their visits to the U.S.
We don't have any particular friends in Paris but I find myself worrying about the lady who worked the front desk at our hotell and the waiter we chatted with at a roadside cafe.
No one and no country deserve the kind of attack that happened today.
