When love is not madness, it is not love.-Pedro Calderon de la Barca

How come no one I know has had a crazy themed wedding? Ya see pictures all over the Internet but I don't know anyone who's actually been to one. I mean how come I don't get invited to Star Wars themed weddings? I'm a super nerdy fan girl, I'd dress up and recite lines with you. Or a spooky goth wedding? Okay sure I don't have any goth friends but I'd be willing to buy a really nice gift if I was invited (perhaps something from Toscano). I've never even been invited to a medieval themed wedding and considering my parents are in a middle ages reenacting group and they dragged me along until I dug in my heels and refused to go (puberty) you'd think it would have come up by now.

What's that you say? Why didn't I have a themed wedding? Well one it didn't occur to me and two Dave would have refused to marry me. Maybe a South Park theme would have worked.... oh well hind sight.

So to the um three people I know who aren't married come on step up. I totally want to see one of these awesomely bad weddings in person. I promise to be a really good sport.

If you too enjoy looking at pics of weird/humorous wedding stuff go here.

The Husband and I were seriously considering throwing a surprise wedding. We were going to have a Halloween party, tell all our friends to come in costume, have a pastor show up in collar, and The Husband and I would (as our costumes) wear a tux and gown.
And then in the middle of the party, have the real life pastor marry us.

It would have been SO cool, but then our pastor asked if we really wanted to have our wedding on a day some consider a satanic celebration. And we thought, no, no we don't.

Phooey.

But the real question is would you have invited me?

J/k that would have been cool though. I joked a few times w Dave about doing a halloween weddng because we met at a halloween party but he wasn't down for it.
