On the other hand this book I LOVED! It's a little bizarre being a crime drama set in a world where nursery rhyme characters are real and no one thinks that's odd, there are also for some reason aliens, and the success of an investigation is measured by it's marketability not on catching the bad guys.
On the other hand it's a good mystery. And the references to well known characters are more like little winks to the reader rather than satire.
I'm looking forward to reading the second book The Fourth Bear. If I like it too I'll let ya know. The author also has another series I expect I'll be checking out soon.
