Changeless by Gail Carriger

I promised when I recommend Soulless that I'd let you know how I liked the sequel. Well I liked it very much. It had less of the feel of a spoof. Not that it wasn't witty and very funny in places. I think perhaps the author felt more confident this time around and didn't need to try as hard to be tongue in cheek. My only complaint is it's a bit of a cliff hanger so now I have to wait for the next book (yep another one) which I think is due out in September. Arrrgh.

Slightly funny side story. Fiona has the hilarious habit of insisting that many pretty ladies she sees on TV or magazine covers are "Mama". Personally I find this charming, she's insisted I'm every one from Hanna Montana to Victoria's Secret models. Generally they at least vaguely look sorta like me, light hair/light eyes but on Friday I was reading this book she insisted that the woman on the cover was Mama. I see what she means, it's just like looking in a mirror.
